This procedure should only be performed by an experienced (although sadly not always the case) injector who will first assess your under eye area to determine the amount of filler required and if you are the right candidate for treatment. The entire procedure takes about minutes, and can resume their normal activities immediately after the treatment.

In the hands of an experienced injector with good technique and use of a cannula the procedure is generally quite comfortable and largely painless. Can it be reversed?

Yes, hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. So, if you’re not happy with the results or experience any complications, your practitioner can use this enzyme to reverse the effects.

Will it make me look like a different person?

No, tear trough fillers should enhance your natural features, not change your appearance. You should still look like yourself, just with less under-eye bags.

Are there any alternatives?

Yes, there are other options for treating under-eye skin concerns and dark circles, such as eye creams, chemical peels, and laser treatments. However, tear trough fillers are a popular choice because they’re quick, relatively painless, and have results. Its important to note some patient concerns may not serve as good candidates for this treatment and ultimately a surgical procedure termed a blepharoplasty may be indicated/recommended, this can all be determined by having a thorough consultation first with an experienced injector.

The cost of tear trough fillers varies depending on where you live and the practitioner you choose. On average, you can expect to pay between £ per treatment.

Yes, your practitioner will likely advise you to avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and certain medications for a few days after the treatment to minimize the risk of bruising and swelling.
