At your appointment, the provider will cleanse the injection sites, and could apply a numbing cream, but in many cases it is unnecessary. You will be asked to contract your neck and make the platysma bands visible, usually, it takes 15–20 units on each side for the Botox to be injected into your jawline and upper neck.
The procedure lasts approximately 15 to 20 minutes, with minimal downtime. Some bruising, redness, or swelling is normal and will subside within a few days. It is a fast, easy "lunchtime" treatment that offers natural-looking results.
