ConnectID is accredited as an identity exchange by the Australian Government, meeting the strict rules and standards set for privacy and security. With your consent, ConnectID enables the secure transfer of data without ever seeing or storing your personal information. Add children to verify once, then re‑use across platforms. You’ll need to request a transfer from your other financial institution before you can create it with ANZ. These can be linked to the same account or to different accounts if you prefer. Once you have transferred your PayID from your non-ANZ financial institution, follow the steps to create your PayID.
If you believe you have been scammed, please contact your financial institution and report it to the police. PayIDs are managed by your financial institution and we will never contact you directly. You should be shown the name of the organisation or business registered to the PayID before you hit send. Simply enter the PayID in your online banking as you would when you’re paying someone. You can register your ABN/ACN as a Play PayID on phone to receive payments to your eligible CommBank business transaction accounts. Transfer money to friends and family using their PayID as quickly and easily as you transfer money between your CommBank accounts. If you are a customer of one of these banks, you can already use ConnectID, there is no need to set up or download a new app or account.

The name linked to the PayID will be displayed for you to confirm before you send money. If you are having trouble closing your account, please contact your financial institution. PayIDs can be managed and deregistered in your online banking.
PayID can be accessed in the online banking of over 100 financial institutions. Age verification – platforms may ask you to share an image of your government-issued ID like a driver’s licence or passport to check your date of birth and confirm you’re over 16. From 10 December 2025, new social media age verification requirements will require some platforms to verify their users are 16 years or older. When you make a purchase or sign up to a new service online, you are often required to share personal information such as your name, address, date of birth and more. Age estimation – platforms may ask you to take a selfie or video to look at physical features (e.g. your face or your voice) to estimate what your age or age range is. These methods are classified as age verification because they verify, which means ‘confirm’, your age with official information. Documents are checked in person only. No date of birth is shared online. A trusted adult or official checks your physical ID in person. You control when to share it — never stored on our servers. To be eligible to use a PayID for a PayTo agreement, the account must be eligible to send and receive NPP payments. Technical interruptions may occur and some payments may be delayed e.g. for security screening.
If you’ve already transferred this PayID from another financial institution, please check with them to ensure that it's been released. Personal customers can send and receive fast Osko payments to and from participating financial institutions with an eligible account (i.e. a personal transaction account). Age inference – platforms may use information that you may have already shared with the social media company to infer what your age is.
